Woodson

Woodson traces the fluid lines of wood grain in a single tone, something ancient and elemental, the slow record of growth pressed into pattern. Abstract over literal: part texture and landscape, part quiet architecture. It has the quality of silk moiré pressed flat, light shifting across it the way it moves across fabric. A wall that grounds a room while still giving it room to breathe.

Rose began with a wall I fell in love with in Mérida, Mexico. I came home and mixed acrylic paints by hand, trying to recreate that exact, sun-warmed pink from memory. Once I found it, I took my painted color to my local Benjamin Moore store and had them match it. This is that rose—a little dusty, a little faded, and forever tied to Mérida.
