Milano is named for Milan and the fashion that defines it. This marble is busy and ornate, with tightly clustered pools of color and sweeping, swirling veins, the way a beautifully printed silk moves. It’s polished and a little daring, made for rooms that dress up.
Gemma is named for my daughter’s friend. I saw her from across a room and knew immediately I had to photograph her, and this colorway has that same catch-your-eye quality. Emerald and jewel green are scattered with clusters of pale aqua and seafoam, like light coming through green glass. It’s fresh and lush, and it feels a bit like a garden.
