Panels are out. Rolls are in.
We sell wallpaper by the roll now. Here's why.
We've retired custom panels. Every pattern now ships as a continuous 11-yard roll, and you cut your own drops, the full-height strips that hang side by side on the wall.
It sounds like a small change on paper. On the wall, it changes almost everything.
It's a smarter way to make wallpaper.
Panels had to be printed and packed to fit one specific wall, which is a slow way to make anything. Rolls are a standard format and far more efficient to produce, and that efficiency is reflected in what you pay.
There's less waste on your end too. You cut what the wall needs and keep the rest.
You pay for paper, not process.
It gets to you faster.
Every panel order was a custom job built around one person's measurements, and it moved through production at custom-job speed. Rolls skip that step, so your order leaves the studio sooner and lands on your doorstep sooner.
The wall is yours to plan.
With panels, the decisions were made before the box arrived. With rolls, you choose where the pattern starts, how it meets the ceiling line, and what happens around the window, the doorway, or the slope under the eaves.
Then there are the leftovers, which turn out to be the best part. The strip above a door, a stair riser, the back of a bookshelf, the inside of a drawer: small places that deserve a pattern and rarely get one.
Working out how many rolls you need.
Every wallpaper page has its own roll calculator, built for that exact pattern. It already knows the repeat and match type, so you just enter the width and height of each wall and it tells you how many rolls to order, with trimming and pattern match accounted for.
Measure each wall on its own, from floor or baseboard to ceiling. A room with four different wall heights needs four separate measurements.

When the room doesn't play along.
Sloped ceilings, a wall of windows, a layout that seems designed to confuse: send us a photo and the measurements of each wall at hello@ashleywoodsonbailey.com. We'll do the math and help you plan where the pattern lands.
One last thing before you order.
Order every roll for a project in one go. We print to order, so a roll from a later run may not match the ones already on your wall.
When the math is close, order the extra roll. It covers the cut that goes sideways and the crayon incident five years from now.
You'll never regret having it. You will regret needing it.
