For the past eleven years I have been taking portraits of flowers-managing to capture their entire personality from behind the lens. I prefer the austere, romantic, mysterious nature of portraiture, but sometimes, life wants something different from you. And I try in every situation to capture the reality of the flower. I have also been photographing people for sometime but never have I wanted to explore it-until now. I love wondering what is behind those beautiful eyes and getting lost in the emotion of it all. I love it when I capture an off guard giggle. And I love all ages of people.
I am, for the first time, offering portraits of humans. 30 minute sessions (although the younger they are the less likely they will last more than 10 minutes). Everyone is welcome to bring as many outfits as they like, a favorite accessory like a hat, a sword, a doll, a headband. Every session is for 1 person only. They will take place in my home studio. Each session will take 3 weeks to edit and you will receive 30 edited images via an online gallery. If you would like to order prints and/or a framed portrait, I can do that for you.
I realise that the images I take are not what everyone is looking for-I capture what I see and what the subjects want me to see. I hope I have the opportunity to see you all at some point and just like I always say, EVERY STEM HAS A STORY.
